Since a wee lad, I’ve been interested in type. It started with graffiti, but I’ve since grown to appreciate all kinds of type ranging from calligraphy to letterpress, and everything in-between. As I continue to try new ways of exploring type, anything that deserves long-term sharing will be posted here. Additional type projects can be found at Illtype.com.
Graffitiami

This kirigami card was done as a gift for my brother Ryan. It easily ranks as one of my most favorite of type designs. You can check the process again at step 1, step 2, final and additional pics

While squeezing text within a given space was nothing new, doing it with a very structured feel was. For the text, of course, when ideas are running thin, you can always go with your moniker. Here’s both right side up and upside down.
Alex Lee and LeVice Fliers
The following are some of fliers I’ve done for Alex Lee and Le Vice (the former is now just a part of the latter). These range from hand inked letter size fliers to full on Illustrator-ed 11×17 posters.

Looking for a typography project for my high school students and your Baduizm is very inspirational. Well done!
