Wedding Invites Final

Now that the wedding invites have officially been sent, it was about time that I posted the final product. The bride-to-be requested that the invites make use of unconventional colors, feature a tattooed pinup girl, and modern in its look. The color scheme was based on a painting at the couples house, and for the modern part, I implemented a font that I had been longing to use in addition to a combination envelope/invite card (an idea borrowed from the gretch). A last minute add on included inserts that had additional wedding information. The pictures to follow are of the actual invite that I was sent. I’m pleased to say that the soon-to-be married couple were happy with the final project.

I made further progress on the 2nd fold of the invite and created a full mockup. I’ll make some more adjustments, but I’ll have to wait for the petal envelopes before I do that.

And this has since been revised some, but here’s an update on the graphic

Here’s an update to the wedding invites I’m doing for my friends

More Screenprinting

Steph and I just finished a screenprinting session for the EKGM project I’m a part of. Anyhoo, I’ll have them with me tomorrow… hit me up!

New Pinup (update)

Apologies for not being better with my updates. I’m slowly working on this picture, but I fully expect the next post to be the final. This one can be clicked for a higher res. Peace.

New Pinup (more progress)

Just some more cleaning up

New Pinup (colors)

Just some rough colors to help generate ideas. Not sure if I’m gonna try to make this a Photoshop painting or doing some vectorish Illustrator pic. I hate thinking of the possibility of both.

New Pinup (stage 2)

Tightened up the line art, added the groundwork for a cherry blossom tat that’ll run up her side.

New Pinup (stage 1)

I can’t expect to be a great pinup artist if I don’t draw… so that’s exactly what I’ve been up to (as of last night anyway). This current image is referenced and took me a little over 2 hours to complete (not including the three others I drew last night that sucked). This first step was just getting the angle and line art right. I intentionally left it pretty basic, as I’ll be adding the finer details via Photoshop. If I stay productive, I should have a substantial update to provide later tonight. Peace.

Eye Candy 2.0 (the results)

In a May post, I mentioned that I would be submitting a few pinups for print in a book titled Eye Candy 2.0. The good news, the following image made the cut… however, it’s not 100% that it’ll see print. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
