Here’s the progress:

Okay… gotta remember to get the form correct before going into the details (super bad habit!). 25 min, blue ball point.

Thanks for the comments on the prev. post

I’ve haven’t done any portrait work for some time, so I figured that now would be a good time to start. 20 min, 2B pencil. Admittedly, it looks a little funky, but you know the rule – when using pencil, no erasing allowed!

Wedding Invites Final

Now that the wedding invites have officially been sent, it was about time that I posted the final product. The bride-to-be requested that the invites make use of unconventional colors, feature a tattooed pinup girl, and modern in its look. The color scheme was based on a painting at the couples house, and for the modern part, I implemented a font that I had been longing to use in addition to a combination envelope/invite card (an idea borrowed from the gretch). A last minute add on included inserts that had additional wedding information. The pictures to follow are of the actual invite that I was sent. I’m pleased to say that the soon-to-be married couple were happy with the final project.

I made further progress on the 2nd fold of the invite and created a full mockup. I’ll make some more adjustments, but I’ll have to wait for the petal envelopes before I do that.

And this has since been revised some, but here’s an update on the graphic

EKGM: Screen Designs

The following are screens I intend to create for the EKGM project I’m working on. Both graphics are similar – text and girls. Both were created with off registration printing in mind. As I completed the 2nd of the two, I found that both text and girl can be interchangeable. The colorways aren’t set in stone, just something to get an idea of what I’m working with.

This was the first one created, set on a shirt to help you visualize it:

Here’s the 2nd graphic:

These final two images feature the text and girl swap-a-roo

Shirt Design: EKGM

For EKGM, I have to design some screen graphics. I decided to do a 2 color, off registration graphic. First step, the thumbnail:

I would be penning this graphic on two separate 8.5×11 sheets. Here’s the finished girl part:

Lastly, I’m still working on the text portion, but you can see it here:
