BuildASofa

I’ve been working with Brad (Owner) and BuildASofa for well over a year now, and through them, have done a wide variety of print projects, web ads, and even a few flash items. My very first task was to rework the logo (see original above SF location), which later evolved to include a tag line and horizontal orientation.

I’ve also done some typography work for them including the Goldilocks™ and Sofas by the INCH™ campaigns.

I created and update their flash banner on the site pretty regularly – as the business has grown from one to FOUR stores during my tenure!

To say the least, our relationship has been and will continue to be a fun ride! And (with no shame), if you live in the Bay Area or Texas and are in need of some new (custom) furniture, you know where to look!

LeVice Record Release

This weekend, I was asked to do a record release flier for Le Vice. Unlike the other fliers I’ve done for them, this one required use of a photo and some logos… no problemo. The biggest difference of all is that I completed this one using the digital process only.

Ill Type

As mentioned, the Gretch and I started a new website that features everything illustration and type, hence, “illtype”. Most of what I post here will be duplicated there, however, only there will you get additional stuff from the Gretch and some other guest contributors. Some ideas

As mentioned, the gretch and I are starting a new site. Unlike my own, where I never customized the banner, in this one, we will. So, here are some ideations for it.

New Banner

I’ve never had a custom banner for this site, but now that I’ve purchased the domain (designby31216.com), it’s about time I have one. Here’s one of the iterations that I really liked. I’ll be using the same letter style, but the colors and layout will be different.

Also, I got a new project in the works with the gretch – I’ll fill you in more as it begins to take shape.

New Lego Hardsuit

Using the previous Yellow Hardsuit as a base model (which has been reworked), I created a Blue/Orange version.

Also, if you remember this piano, I made crude instructions – so holla if you want me to send them your way (it includes a piece list).
